Leideenhan President Leo Bösiger has as of 9 am Leideenhan time, signed into law the complete neutrality in international wars. This policy is to help ensure that Leideenhan is not to be involved in armed conflicts between other states. This policy is self-imposed, permanent, and armed, designed to ensure external security and promote peace. This military neutrality is to also be carried over politically to help ensure absolute impartiality and showing no preference to any one nation. To help ensure this peace, all Leideenhan citizens capable of military service hence forth shall enter a mandatory 4 year military service. Upon military service completion, citizens shall remain part of the Leideenhan National Reserve Force and be permitted to keep their service equipment and are responsible for its care. The Leideenhan Neutrality Law also increases the national budget for national defense and opens new areas of science permitted to be allowed. Effective immediately upon signing the bill, Leideenhan law permits the research & development of stem cell research and cloning technologies (Two very controversial sciences not universally welcomed.) among others. Leideenhan banks also have been ordered to be neutral in international matters and clients world wide shall be permitted to open an account and their information shall be kept confidential. This neutrality law passed by one vote and is highly controversial in Leideenhan. It is known that the President himself does not support the law but had no choice but to sign it due to it passing. It will be interesting to see how things progress from here on out.
